How to creatively drive growth for your startup?
Panel discussion on the Startup University stage during Collision 2022 in Toronto.
The landscape in the startup world is changing. There is the hype around unicorns of the past years that resulted in inflated evaluations of some startups followed by drastic losses. The pandemic has left its mark with a shift to online and remote. Now, the looming threat of a globally declining economy is driving VCs to take up a more careful stance.
Marissa Wilson Gibbons, Co-founder and CEO of NewCo, Rupa Athreya, Chief Accelerator Investment Officer at Techstars, and Charley Moore, founder and CEO of Rocket Lawyer, discuss with Britta Muzyk-Tikovsky, founder and CEO of Capscovil and editor-in-chief of Chillipicks, how to drive growth for your startup in these turbulent times.
The panel participants discuss the important role of market fit and team personality, what creative ways there are to get your startup off the ground and if it makes sense for every startup to aim for becoming a unicorn.
