What We Do

Capscovil is an innovation agency and boutique publisher.

We strive to be a small giant driven by purpose and thriving on innovation and diversity to ensure sustainable business growth. And we are a woman-owned business.

Our vision is to have a positive impact on the sustainability of our planet by being an influential advocate for humane and eco-friendly technology.

Three pillars form the foundation for turning our vision into reality:

  1. Strategic business development and marketing services
  2. Creative concept development and execution
  3. Unique content creation and distribution

Our clients are small giants and startups. The strategies and concepts we develop also consider how to bridge the gap to the corporate world.

Unique content, created and published for both clients and in-house projects, supports our vision.

The mission of our boutique publisher is to serve technology with a taste. It’s the main spice in our kitchen where feature articles are formed, short stories shaken and novels cooked up. We research, analyze and select the best suited information, write, and publish internationally.

Starting out with combining fiction and facts in our technical novels, we created a completely new concept for storytelling. Several times, a new product or service has been invented that way already.

Our books are published worldwide and eBooks available for all major readers.

Partners for our books are selected carefully. They don’t have an influence on what we write and how we write about it. They don’t provide funding for our book projects. Partnerships develop out of conviction to share the same goal.

For clients, we provide storytelling workshops and produce marketing content as a service. Articles or short stories follow our recipes but are seasoned with ingredients requested or supplied by clients. Use cases are distilled down and served clear.

Just like a good curry, the portions of facts, creativity and graphics are chosen according to the taste of our clients.

Our type of storytelling is especially suited for companies with a focus on innovation and diversity who want to strengthen their bond with business partners and employees; or who want to win new customers.

How It All Began

Capscovil was founded in December 2009 by Britta Muzyk – Tikovsky. Ever since, the company has been located in Glonn near Munich, Germany.

The beautiful Bavarian town, nestled in a peaceful valley southeast of Munich and near the alps, is a small giant in its own right: the goal of the municipality is to become mostly independent of fossil fuels by 2020.

Britta Muzyk-Tikovsky, a readaholic and industrial engineer with a Master of Business and Engineering from the University of Applied Sciences in Karlsruhe, Germany, worked for more than 15 years at well-renowned companies such as W.L. Gore, Teradyne and Intel; becoming acquainted with many different kinds of technology.

In 2010, Gerhard Tikovsky got on board as investor. Since then, he’s been standing steadfastly by her side, lending his advisory support.

Capscovil started out as boutique publisher. The idea to combine in their novels technical facts with fictional stories evolved after roaming countless trade show floors and industry conferences: why should only a considerably small portion of people find out about new technology and innovation? Many people read non-fictional books or professional magazines but even more people read novels. A survey conducted in 2017 among business professionals confirms this approach by stating the two most preferred types of reading are feature articles and novels.

All novels are seasoned with topics that we researched independently and selected together with our authors in order to match their stories.

Feature articles followed as a spin-off of the research.

The spy novel “Project Black Hungarian” served as breeding ground for a new type of storytelling. This technique of storytelling then branched out into marketing as a service for clients.

From day one, we have been owner managed and working with a team of freelancers. These relationships are on a long-term basis, because there is nothing more rewarding than to plant the seeds, watch the crops grow, harvest the fruits and enjoy the meal together.

What’s With The Pepper?

The company name springs from our love for word games and hot food:

Back in December 2009, Google did not know the combination of Capsaicin – the active component of the chili pepper defining its heat – and Scoville – the unit measuring the spicy heat of a pepper (of course, an engineer always needs a measurable set).

We thought this was a good sign.

Accordingly, our projects are named after hot peppers. The respective heat level reflects the type of project and technology, and the impact on sustainability and diversity.
