IAA 2015: Visitors of New Mobility World to get a thrilling literary lift

Press release

Frankfurt / Glonn, Germany, 10. September 2015

Book Cover Project Black HungarianCapscovil, a young publisher focused on technology and innovation, is bringing their latest publication on new mobility to the international auto show in Frankfurt: a book full of facts, yet no text book. Visitors of the startup zone of NEW MOBILITY WORLD in Hall 3.1 will be able to download a free copy of the eBook.

Project Black Hungarian is a reading out of the common run. All relevant information on electric vehicles, the underlying technology and IT security was packed not into a text book but a thrilling spy novel. Co-authors MacRoslin and York created an air of adventure for electric mobility, their ideas fueled by facts on spying practices of NSA & Co.

The book’s blueprint is based on real events and real people. Pioneers and EV experts – all participants of the world’s largest electric vehicle rally WAVE 2013 – acted as role models for characters in the story. A real vehicle served as model for the main car; and provides a template for an affordable electric family car with a range of +700 kilometers. Notably, its developers set a new world record on range shortly after the book was published.

Project Black Hungarian is available as printed and electronic edition in English and German.

Visitors of the New Mobility World will be able to download a free eBook copy during the IAA. The code for downloading can be found at the tables of all the companies exhibiting in the Start-Up-Zone in Hall 3.1.

What industry experts say about Project Black Hungarian

A modern, fresh and fast-moving thriller set in the evolving world of electric vehicle technology. Totally (and perhaps disturbingly) believable with twists and turns from beginning to end. Loved it!
Michael E. Parris JP, BSc, CEng, FIMechE, FIET – Head of Secure Car Division, SBD

Electric mobility has started to rock the automotive world. Recently strangers to the industry, companies like Google start to compete with the long-established players. Those are the facts. Project Black Hungarian names them all and uses them to build an intriguing spy novel.
Andreas Burkert – Chief Editor Drive and Style – Active Woman

Book description
The Board for Industrial Research and Development has been shaping major political decisions since 1929. You haven’t heard of them because no-one has. They’re efficient, discreet and professional. Working under the guise of a multi-faceted consultancy firm. But a new threat to their customers means all that could be about to change. A new technology is to be tested in an extensive field trial, the world’s largest electric car expedition WAVE offering the perfect cover for the trial. BIRD has no desire to see it succeed. The implications are too vast.
After much deliberation, a decision has been made. The usual countermeasures are taken and a team is dispatched. The mission is to be low-key, no more than a routine training exercise: an opportunity for BIRD to blood the next generation of field operatives. There is, it seems, little that can go wrong.
But the new recruits are young and impulsive; quick to act when caution should be the name of the game. One bad decision leads to another, and soon the mission is spiraling out of control. For BIRD has failed to notice one important detail.
Suddenly, all eyes are on WAVE.
And two young guys learn one thing the hard way: For rookies, spying is a dangerous game.
