He is an adventurer and philanthropist whose ownership of a lucrative sportswear business allows him to pick and choose his investments.
A committed environmentalist, Alain believes that electric cars are the only way forward. When the opportunity to finance a pioneering technology comes his way, Alain doesn’t have to think twice.
Nevertheless, there are conditions attached. One, that he can view the technology close at hand; and two, that its inventor is given round the clock protection during WAVE.
If his experience has taught him one thing then it is better to be safe than to be sorry.
But keeping secrets isn’t easy, however, and soon Alain is just as intrigued by the identity of his employees as he is by the potential of his investment.

Alain in real life
Alain is one of those people one takes an instant liking to. Quiet and modest, with a deep respect for nature that his expeditions intensified. To him the most impressive place on earth is the south pole. For WAVE 2013 he teamed up with his friend Raphaël Domjan – a Swiss-French écoexplorateur known for first circumnavigating the world in the purely solar-powered catamaran SolarPlanet.
Besides organizing and taking part in expeditions, Alain works in the clothing business.
