CAPSCOVIL VERLAG

Capscovil is the first publisher of its kind to pursue three goals at once:

  • Offer Entertaining Reading (Fiction in Print and as eBook)
  • Accelerate Trends and Arouse Emotions for Technological Topics
  • Foster Social Commitment

Capscovil - founded in December 2009 - is run by Britta Muzyk and located in Glonn near Munich, Germany. The industrial and production engineer, who has been an enthusiastic reader herself since childhood, graduated from the University of Applied Sciences in Karlsruhe, Germany, and worked for more than 15 years at well-renowned companies such as W.L. Gore, Teradyne and Intel. There, Britta became acquainted with, and fell for, many different kinds of technology.

Topics within businesses like automotive, electronics, mechatronics and information technology are well known to her just as much as subjects addressed within the internet, telecommunications or consumer products industry. With great interest she follows new developments concerning medical or bio engineering or renewable energy. But also challenges that come with developing and launching new business are nothing unknown to Britta, due to her time at an internet start-up a few years ago.

A glutton for technology and books, Britta has made her passion her profession. Exciting technical trends and topics are packed into entertaining reading together with young and adult authors. On top of it socially engaged projects, run by enthusiasts from the bottom of their heart, are supported.

With Alice N. York’s debut Richtungswechsel for example, we aim to draw our German reader's attention to two organisations that perform an outstanding service for, and with, children.

GAME-Faint Signals will be sold in several countries around the world and we are currently examining different organisations and projects. Housingworks is the first NPO we started to support in the US.

Profits from our pilot project and first volume of short stories "Die BuchBande - Junges Wissen schafft Geschichte" meanwhile, will go towards supporting the aftercare project Ebersberger Kleeblatt of the Ebersberg district hospital, Bavaria, Germany, who help women affected by breast cancer, and their families.

Our readers come from all walks of life. They are neither limited to a specific age demographic, nor can they be reduced to a type.

Two things, however, are shared by them all: Sincerity and Curiosity
